Digital Fashion Shows & Events to Attend This Fall

In lieu of the pandemic, fashion weeks are moving online. While this is a big change for designers, models and other people working in the fashion industry, there is an upside. This season, viewing runways shows and attending events is going to be more accessible to the average person. If you have always dreamed of sitting front row at fashion week, now is your chance!

LINKS TO VIRTUAL FASHION EVENTS YOU CAN ATTEND THIS SEASON ARE LISTED BELOW:

Vancouver Fashion Week: Oct 24th-25th

This is the first one listed because it where you can view FAUN’s new runway collection live! As a Canadian brand, we feel honoured to be sponsored by VFW for the 4th consecutive season.

Things will be a little different for the designers this season. To mitigate risk, the production team will be working with hair and makeup to create a neutral look for all models (a change from past seasons when they would switch between 3-6 looks a day) and there will be limited numbers of people backstage. However, this won’t stop us from putting on a visually inspiring show for those watching at home. Furthermore, this season has been condensed from 5 nights to 1, meaning you’re guaranteed to see the best of the best.

We are beyond excited to show our Spring/Summer 2021 collection amongst other emerging designers. Click here to learn more.

Fashion Week Online: The Big 4 - Sept 1st-Nov 1st

Even if you aren’t a fashion week regular, you’re probably familiar with the “Big 4”: New York, London, Paris and Milan. These fashion capitals host the most prominent shows, with the biggest designers and highest press coverage.

Whether you want to watch Burberry in London or Versace in Milan, Fashion Week Online has the resources to do it.

Startup Fashion Week: Toronto - Oct 19-23

Startup Fashion Week™ is the world’s only multi-city fashion week. Since launching in 2014, they’ve worked to get more global recognition for Canadian talent. As well as a slew of online content, they are also hosting an in-person show in Toronto inspired by Van Gogh on October 21st. Visit their website to learn more.

Savage x Fenty: Oct. 3rd

This show is star studded! Rihanna never disappoints and neither does this runway collection. This brand boasts fearlessness, confidence and inclusivity and this show is a celebration of that. With models from Lizzo to Bella Hadid the excitement remains high throughout the entire runway collection.

This runway spectacle is available on Amazon Prime making it easily accessible to wherever you are!

Moschino “No Strings Attached”: Sept. 26th

Jeremy Scott truly embraced the obstacles of 2020 and created a full runway show made of marionettes. When interviewed by Variety Scott said “my body may be in quarantine, but my mind isn't.” This creativity gave a breath of fresh air to the traditional runway show and also added a genuine level of playfulness. Not only were the models puppets but he created a stacked front row, even Anna Wintours puppet is as glamorous as she is in real life.

This show not only is unique but incredibly accessible giving a new level of inclusivity to fashion week. The show can be viewed on Moschinos YouTube channel
